If you see me paint in person or in video, you often see me take a pause and ghosting the brush stroke a few times before I actually paint it. And if you've been to my live workshop where I can not cut or edit my demo, you can sometime see me staring at my paper without painting. It might appears that I'm not doing anything, but I'm actually doing the most important thing - thinking.

Painting with good material is essential. When I just getting started with watercolor, I thought I use some cheap ones and upgrade them later on. That end up to be a mistake. Cheap, poor materials will make your job harder! If you use cheap materials, your painting will look cheap. That doesn't mean you buy everything that's out there and you only buy the most expensive product out there. That does mean to find out what works for you and spend money on what's essential.
