As our weather warms up and my schedule freed up a bit, I’m starting to do plein-air again. While an enjoyable experience, it is definitely not easy for me. Today I want to share with you a little bit of my experience with plein-air painting, how I approached it, and the challenges I faced.
This is the last week of 2020, I got so much to be thankful for. And I also want to revisit my 2020 new year resolutions, and see how well I did. That being said, this has been a very tough year for many of us, and I do want to talk a little bit about it.
We one week away from Christmas. Sadly we haven’t got any snow yet. So it’s not likely we’re going to have a white Christmas. But still, I want to share my process of a snow scenery painting.
Because of social media, artists have more opportunities than ever. It’s like leveling the playing field for everyone. Before if you want to be a fine artist, you need to work with a gallery, get yourself out there to be featured in magazines and shows. But now with social media, anyone can put work out there for the public to see. But this can also be a trap for us artists.
Autumn is my favorite season here at the Pacific Northwest. Last year I did a video talking about painting different autumn trees. I’ve learned a lot since then and I want to share what I’ve learned with you.
I got many questions about the color that I use. And it is in my fast track watercolor pdf guide. But then some people also ask me exactly what colors that I used to mix a specific color. And that’s not something I can answer because I mix the color with my eyes, not formulas.
