Winter Grazing

Winter snow in the Seattle area is not unseen of, but it definitely is a special occasion. I love to be able to see snow during winter time, as it enhance the mood of the holiday season. During a snowing day, I can't help but take my camera with me and trying to capture the winter wonderland! This painting is done by using a photo reference I took at the nearby barn. Even during a snowy day, the horses still come out and graze in the morning.

I encountered this scenery on my way to work the other day. The heavy morning fog transform this street where I pass every morning. I love atmospheric scenery like this, and watercolor is probably the best medium when it comes to painting atmosphere.

My college years were spend in an art school.  It's a great school but it's very small compare to a Sate University.  Therefore I never really get to taste what it's like to study in a huge beautiful campus.  But at least I am free to visit and enjoy the place.
